Fol-Artists : 10 Years of a Wonderful Creative Adventure! 🎉

Ten years ago, I embarked on a journey that would transform my passion into a full-fledged business. Today, Fol-Artists celebrate a decade of creativity, evolution, and incredible encounters. Let’s take a look back at this journey filled with challenges and great surprises!The Beginning: An Idea, A Passion, A Friendship
I had always dreamed of having my own business, but I wasn’t sure exactly which path to take. With my friend Julie, we decided to create handmade accessories: scarves, beanies, cushions, wooden items … a little bit of everything! All while keeping our day jobs, we developed our products with passion—perhaps spreading ourselves a bit too thin.
One day, Julie came up with the idea of adding a zipper to the scarves to give them a funky look. That’s when I had the idea to add an inner fabric for a colour contrast. After making the first prototype, we realized it created a pocket and could be transformed in different ways. That’s how the 5-in-1 scarf was born … and with it, Fol-Artists’ unique identity!
Over the years, Fol-Artists has grown and evolved. The products have been refined with new fabrics to suit different seasons—lightweight for summer, warm and soft for winter—while always keeping that signature blend of style and practicality. We also introduced related items like beanies, pouches, jewelry … and a little newcomer launching on April 13 🤫.
Our participation in events also took on a whole new dimension. From a simple craft fair booth to a more professional set up, each market and show became a learning experience and an opportunity for amazing encounters. Some of these people have even become friends I love meeting again at every event!
Overcoming Challenges
Like any entrepreneurial venture, Fol-Artists’ journey hasn’t always been smooth sailing. One of the biggest challenges? Learning to use social media to promote my products! Before, I wasn’t online at all … and today, it has become an essential tool.
There was also the separation from my business partner, which meant I had to manage everything on my own. And then, there was accounting … my biggest fear! But with time and perseverance, I learned, and now I almost enjoy handling my numbers (yes, really!).
One of the biggest leaps of faith came in 2022 when I decided to leave my salaried job to dedicate myself 100% to Fol-Artists—without knowing if the income would be enough to sustain me!
Always Learning and Evolving
What keeps me going after 10 years? The joy of learning, innovation, and pushing my limits. I regularly challenge myself to step out of my comfort zone, gain new skills, and continue growing Fol-Artists.
The Future of Fol-Artists: So Many Projects Ahead!
Fol-Artists is far from done! I have a thousand ideas in mind: developing collaborations, opening a physical workshop boutique, travelling with my business, and even participating in events in Europe… This is just the beginning of a new chapter!
